Daniel Shirey currently serves as a staff photographer and editor with Major League Baseball. He specializes in professional sports, portraiture and field editing. He is also a high-performing athlete himself, competing as an A-rated fencer on the national circuit for the United States Fencing Association. 

His work has appeared in Sports Illustrated, ESPN, ESPN Magazine, The New York Times, The Washington Post, USA Today, and more. His passion for sport—on and off the piste—fuel his commitment to deliver honest and outstanding visual stories that capture the magic of people in motion.
